Joanne graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1987 with a B.A. and B.Ed. Over the years, she has taught French immersion in the Ottawa-Carleton elementary school system in different areas of the city. She has an extensive knowledge of the different programs available through the 4 local school boards as well as the neighbourhoods the schools service. Joanne chose to work at Royal LePage in the Carling office because of its central location. It services all areas in and around the city of Ottawa.
Joanne ran a successful home based sales business for 7 years, leading and training a team of consultants. She decided to combine her teaching skills with her business experience to help people find a house that they can make their home. She enjoys fitting the pieces of the puzzle together; matching the right home with the right family.
We often hear that teachers make the best real estate agents because they have the skills it takes (interpersonal skills, empathy, hard working, flexibility and organization). Joanne joined real estate knowing how to listen to her clients in order to meet their needs. She has the negotiating and marketing ability necessary to close a deal.
Joanne lives in Kanata with her husband and three children. She is an avid scrapbooker and enjoys interior decorating.
